Yes… Just a tiny but late on the bandwagon here but I can definitely see why it is such a raved about product.
If you haven’t already seen my post on how various products saved my skin, you definitely should check it out and give those products ago! I’ll link the post below but I’ll fill you in here to get things going.
In August last year my skin had a bit of a wobbly. It turned out I had a skin infection on my face and only antibiotics and time were my options given to me by my doctor. However, I still felt in the mean time I could promote my face to heal quicker and to do that I used several products (which you shall see listed in that post) which helped me achieve fresh, healthy, glowing skin in about a month.
My skin is now probably the best it’s ever been, although I still get the odd intense spot around my period. Charming. I really did enjoy using all the products that saved my skin previously at one time, as a routine, but over time it became a bit intense. Once my skin became really clear and very soft and healthy I only really wanted to have a quick skin care routine that would maintain it’s current state. Essentially, I was looking for something that would do what all my current products did, something obviously a little less intense but would still look after my skin. Enter Liz Earle, Cleanse & Polish.
This is such a luxury product. It’s consistency, the various different scents, the packaging. It’s very clean, simple as well as giving you such a luxurious experience when using it. The price doesn’t break the bank either! I currently have a 150ml bottle with 2 muslin cloths which can, as a package, retail for around £20 and can last around the same time as a foundation depending on how excessive you are. For removing make up I still stick with aloe gel and cotton pads to basically remove everything but then I’d go in with this product to achieve a deeper yet nourishing cleanse and all you tend to need is one pump!
I received my first 150ml bottle for Christmas (which was a lovely treat) and I received it in a tin which was in honour of celebrating their 20th anniversary, so now the package might be a little different depending on their stock. They were also doing mini tin versions which I also received in November to give it a try and see if it was for me, after a few several different applications, it definitely was. Looking online I can’t see whether they are still selling them at that size or in a tin. Hopefully they do some sort of travel size version so that people who aren’t so sure and don’t want to fork out 20 quid can test it for themselves. I promise you, you won’t regret it.
From my point of view, although I’ve probably said enough, I’ve gotten on with the product and muslin cloth tremendously well and I’m actually a little bit pissed that I haven’t tried this product sooner. If I’m honest, I actually thought Liz Earle supplied granny products but then that was probably me being a bit ignorant. I now see their counters as mystical fortresses that supply magical products, no exaggeration of course. Maybe thats what they were going for which in that case, I applaud them massively, because I am now so bloody intrigued to try all their products. Shit.
I’ve noticed this product is used by many in a daily fashion which can be great but for you regular fake tanners out there, this can throw a spanner into the works. Facially tanning on the regular is my thing, however the cleanse and polish can act as a daily exfoliator, so I found using it on the daily can pretty much pull most of the product from my skin. On the one hand fantastic! Although, on the other hand I rely on fake tan on my face to help it blend with the rest of my body because I often don’t wear much make up throughout the week. Thats why I find using this product every other day before I put on my gradual face tanner (which I do every other day too) isn’t so bad and actually creates a smooth base for a clean application.
This is definitely a product that will be frequently used in my skin care routine and is defintely my current favourite product I’m using. Let me know if this is something you are currently using or want to try. If you are using it alongside other products within the range please share! I’m eager to get my hands on some more of Liz Earle’s products to try out.
